Decision Log 07/2021 – Blue Light Customer Agreement

Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey – Decision Making Record

Report Title: Blue Light Customer Agreement

Decision number: 007/2021

Author and Job Role: Kelvin Menon – OPCC Treasurer

Protective Marking: OFFICIAL

Executive Summary

To enter in to a Customer Agreement with Blue Light Commercial Limited to enable the Force to participate in joint national procurements with other Forces. All forces and PCCs are parties to this agreement

Background

Blue Light Commercial was formed some years ago to enable Forces to procure collectively and thus make savings. The original agreement has now been updated to allow a wider range of Police Bodies to participate, to update data protection rules and a number of smaller legal alternations.

Blue light have made it clear that entering in to this agreement does not commit any individual force to participating in a joint procurement. This can be decided on a case by case basis as part of a best value assessment at the time.

Recommendation:

To sign the Blue Light Customer Agreement as attached (agreement signed and kept in OPCC).
