Thank you for your letter of 4th February (will open as open document text) which confirms the Police & Crime Panel’s decision to approve my proposed precept. In accordance with Schedule 5 of the Police Reform & Social Responsibility Act, please accept this letter by way of response.
I am pleased that, having accepted my recommendation for a 4.4% increase in council tax precept, Surrey Police will be better resourced and more able to sustain the excellent improvements in performance that we have seen over the past year. I would like to thank you and members of the panel for their support and constructive engagement during yesterday’s meeting.
