For 2022/23 the Police and Crime Commissioner has made available £383,000 of funding to ensure continued support to local community, voluntary and faith organisations.

Applications for Standard Grant Awards over £5000 – Community Safety Fund

Active Surrey – Friday Night Project and Step In to Step Out

To award Active Surrey £80,000 to fund the Friday Night Project and Step In to Step Out. Friday Night Projects are a multi-sport and physical drop-in sessions for young people aged between 11 and 18 in Surrey. Step Out to Step In aims to support young people who have a limited opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity. It is a referral-based sports membership for those aged 11 to 18 who might be at risk of offending or engaging in future offending and ASB.

Recommendation

The Commissioner supports the grant applications to the Community Safety Fund and awards to the following;

  • £80,000 to Active Surrey for the Friday Night Project and Step Out to Step In
