Decision 52/2022 – Confirmation of Appointment of Chair for the Surrey Joint Audit Committee

Executive Summary:

To appoint a substantive chair for the Joint Audit Committee following the resignation of the previous Chair following the conclusion of his tenure.

Background

Mr Patrick Molineux has been carrying out the role as Chair designate to the Joint Audit Committee for a period of seven months, shadowing the sitting Chair, Paul Brown. Mr Brown has now stepped down from the chairmanship as of 1st January 2023 and with the agreement of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable it is the intention that Mr Molineux becomes substantive Chair for a four-year tenure from 1st January 2023 – 1st January 2027.

Recommendation

That Mr Patrick Molineux be appointed substantive Chair of the Surrey Joint audit Committee for a four-year tenure from 1st January 2023 – 1st January 2027.
