Author and Job Role Kelvin Menon, Chief Finance Officer Surrey OPCC
Protective Marking: Official
Executive Summary:
To award a contract for 4 years commencing on the 16th November 2025 for the repair of body damage to the Force’s vehicles
Background
Surrey and Sussex have between them 2.200 vehicles covering 2 million miles a year. It is inevitable that some of these suffer damage due to collisions and this contract has been put in place to ensure that body work can be repaired in these circumstances. The contract was awarded to 7 difference suppliers under a framework agreement which means services can be called off as required. The cost includes collection and delivery of vehicles and fixes labour rates and parts discounts for the first 12 months with increases beyond that linked to inflation. The Forces are free to seek alternative quotes during the life of the contract to demonstrate value for money.
The total value of the Surrey element of the contract is estimated to be £2.5m a year
