Author and Job Role: Lucy Thomas, Commissioning & Policy Lead for Victim Services

Protective Marking: OFFICIAL

Police & Crime Commissioners have the statutory responsibility to provide services to support victims cope and recover. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) made additional funds available to support victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and to fund additional ISVAs & IDVAs for 3 years (2022/23 – 2024/25).

As per decision record 12 2023/24 funds were made available for Your Sanctuary towards their children in refuge service. It has subsequently been agreed with the MoJ that any accommodation-based services should come from the Safe Accommodation Fund therefore these funds have been re-profiled.

Reprofile £7,500 from children in refuge services at Your Sanctuary to adult outreach worker for complex needs.

The Commissioner supports the reprofiling of the funds and £7,500 is allocated to the adult outreach worker at Your Sanctuary.
