Author and Job Role: George Bell, Policy & Commissioning Lead for Victim Services
Protective Marking: OFFICIAL
Executive Summary:
Police and Crime Commissioners have the statutory responsibility to provide services to support victims to cope and recover. Demand for support services has continued to increase as well as rising costs for services. Funding from the Ministry of Justice did see a modest increase this year but the does not meet the shortfall, therefore, the PCC has made some of her own funds available to fund victim support services within Surrey. The below outlines the allocation of some of this funding for 2026/27 in Surrey.
