03/2025-26 PCC’s Fund Allocation 2025/26

Author and Job Role: Lucy Thomas, Commissioning & Policy Lead for Victim Services

Protective Marking:  OFFICIAL

Police and Crime Commissioners have the statutory responsibility to provide services to support victims to cope and recover. Demand for support services has continued to increase against a backdrop of static and/or reduced Ministry of Justice funding. Therefore, the PCC has made some of her own funds available to fund victim support services within Surrey. The below outlines the allocation of some of this funding for 2025/6 in Surrey.

Your Sanctuary

To award Your Sanctuary £11,000 towards the running costs of their dedicated domestic abuse helpline

Surrey Police, Victim & Witness Care Unit

To award Surrey Police’s Victim & Witness Care Unit £14,500 towards the licensing costs of their case management system

Surrey and Borders Partnership

To awards Surrey and Border Partnership £74,196.95 towards their Child Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CISVA) service and £45,686.59 towards their STARS therapeutic intervention service.

YMCA Downslink

To award YMCA Downslink £127,000 towards their What is Sexual Exploitation (WiSE) service.

East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (ESDAS)

To awarded ESDAS £29,000 towards their police advocates who are embedded within the 3 police division and £44,058 for a dedicated stalking advocate to support victims of intimate stalking.

The PCC supports the recommended allocation of the PCC’s Fund in Surrey and awards the following;

  • £11,000 to Your Sanctuary toward their helpline
  • £14,500 to Surrey Police’s Victim and Witness Care Unit towards their case management system
  • £74,196.95 to Surrey & Borders Partnership towards their CISVA service
  • £45,686.59 to Surrey & Borders Partnership towards therapeutic interventions
  • £127,000 to YMCA Downlink to fund their WiSE project workers
  • £29,000 to ESDAS towards their police advocates
  • £44,058 to ESDAS to fund their stalking advocate
