Earlier this week, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, David Munro spent the morning at the Elmbridge Junior Citizen VIP Day held at Walton Fire Station.
The event invited local school children to talk to representatives from our emergency services in Surrey. This gave them the opportunity to get first hand safety advice and top tips aimed at helping to keep them from harms way.
Here they were taught what to do in case of a fire, how to keep safe on public transport, water safety messages, delivering first aid and being aware of stranger danger.
The event, organised by Elmbridge Borough Council and Child Safety Media, allowed the kids to take on more responsibility for their own personal safety and provided them with the crucial information of what to do if they were ever faced with an emergency.
