Mental Health Portfolio Lead

Salary Grade Range: £33,283 – £39,394 pro rata
Working Hours: 18 Hours per week

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and passionate individual to support the Police and Crime Commissioner on her national work on mental health, including working with the National Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC).

Supporting the Commissioner will involve providing briefings on how to influence the national policy for mental health, which can lead to national level decisions to be made around police and partner responsibilities.

As such the post holder will be expected to have detailed knowledge of mental health policy issues including the policing response to public mental health issues and the mental health of the policing workforce.

The successful applicant will also support the wider work of the Commissioner’s Office to deliver on the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan for the county.
