The policing plan to respond to unauthorised traveller encampments in Surrey will be among topics discussed tomorrow (Wednesday 27 February) at the Police and Crime Commissioner David Munro’s latest live webcast performance meeting.
Surrey Police’s temporary Chief Constable Gavin Stephens will be in the hotseat to answer questions from the PCC at the meeting being held at Waverley Borough Council offices in Godalming.
Other items on the agenda include budget plans for 2019/20 and the Force’s rural crime strategy. The meeting is webcast live and you can tune in and watch proceedings from 10am here:

PCC David Munro said: “The unprecedented number of unauthorised encampments last summer had a significant impact on both settled communities across the county and police resources.
“So I am really interested to hear the policing plans for this year and how we can work together with local authorities to address the issues we experienced in 2018 and improve our response going forward.
“It is my role to hold the Force to account on behalf of residents and if you are interested in policing issues in Surrey that might affect you then do tune in if you can.”
