Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner, David Munro, is today launching a public consultation on his plans for Surrey Police, to ensure that residents’ voices are heard.
Having already outlined a series of priorities, Mr. Munro would now like to hear what the public think of these plans. His pledges are to:
- Cut crime and keep Surrey safe
- Tackle rural crime
- Make our town centres safe
- Support victims
- Make every pound count
- Tackle the threat of terrorism
David Munro said:
“My 6 point policing plan to cut crime and build safer communities will set the scene for Surrey policing for the next four years. This is a crucial consultation and I hope as many people as possible can respond.”
These priorities will form the basis of the Police and Crime Plan which the Commissioner is required to produce. The full plan will set out the PCC’s strategy during his time in office, and must include his objectives for policing, what resources will be provided to the Chief Constable and how performance will be measured.
