Police and Crime Commissioner to hold public meeting in Waverley

Kevin Hurley, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, will be giving the public the chance to have their say on local issues at his Crime Summit at Farnham Maltings on 18 January 2016.

This is the third and final round of Crime Summits for the Police and Crime Commissioner before the PCC election, which will be held in May 2016. The Commissioner will be joined by Waverley Borough Council and the Surrey Police Neighbourhood Inspector, who will provide updates on the work they’ve been doing over the past year to make Waverley an even safer place to live and work.

Residents will be able to have their say on issues such as anti-social behaviour, legal highs and how new crime is changing policing.

The Summit will be two hours in length and refreshments will be provided from 6:30pm.

Kevin Hurley said:

“The role of Police and Crime Commissioner is all about working in partnership with the police, the councils, and countless other organisations to make Surrey an even safer place to live and work. In order to focus all our efforts, we need to know what the public want.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for my colleagues at Waverley Borough Council, your local Neighbourhood Inspector and I to listen. This is your chance to tell us what we could be doing better, and I look forward to hearing the views of residents in Waverley.”
