Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey welcomes secondee from Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust

Leighe Rogers, a Director from Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust (SSPT) has been seconded to the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for Surrey, Kevin Hurley, to assist in the delivery of the Peoples’ Priorities for policing and crime.

Leighe is a senior figure in the Probation Trust with over 25 years of criminal justice and partnership experience. She will work with PCC Kevin Hurley and his team to build stronger links with our partner agencies to help put victims at the heart of the criminal justice system.

Leighe will spend one day a week with the Surrey team, and will also spend one day a week on secondment with the Office of the Sussex PCC, Katy Bourne. Her salary will continue to be paid in full by Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust.

Kevin Hurley, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey said: “I am delighted to be able to welcome Leighe to support the team in Surrey, and I commend the Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust for their enthusiasm for collaborative working to serve the public.

“We can only deliver the Peoples’ Priorities in partnership with the wider criminal justice system and, with her expertise and experience, Leighe will be a great asset in helping us work more closely together to make sure that we are putting victims first and reducing reoffending in Surrey.”

I am looking forward to working more closely with him and his colleagues and to bringing my Probation knowledge and expertise of the criminal justice landscape and partnership working.’
