Woking residents are invited to the Borough’s Crime Summit, which takes place at 6.30pm on the 26th March 2014 at the H.G. Wells Conference and Events Centre, Woking.
The Crime Summit will see senior figures from Surrey Police and Woking Borough Council join the Police and Crime Commissioner to talk about their work and hear from local people about the issues that matter to them in their Borough.
The event is an opportunity for Woking people to hear about community safety work in the area; raise the issues that are affecting their lives and discuss with the public agencies working in the area how we can work together to solve those problems.
Refreshments will be provided from 6pm.

Following his election as Police and Crime Commissioner in November 2012, Kevin Hurley pledged to hold Crime Summits in every Borough and District in Surrey.
Kevin Hurley said:
“I’m delighted to be able to join with the members of the Safer Woking Partnership to host the first Woking Crime Summit. We are working together to deal with the issues that matter to you in the Borough – we can only do that successfully with your help and input. I welcome Woking residents to come along and get involved!”
Cllr Beryl Hunwicks, Chair of the Safer Woking Partnership, added: “By bringing prominent figures from the Safer Woking Partnership and the Police and Crime Commissioner together, local people can voice their concerns about issues that matter to them and discuss how we can all work towards improving matters to make Woking a safer place to live, work and play.”
