Kevin Hurley, Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, has announced that he is to webcast his monthly scrutiny meetings with Surrey Police’s Chief Constable Lynne Owens. These meetings are an opportunity for the Commissioner to hold the Chief Constable to account on behalf of the public in an open and transparent way.
The first webcast meeting is on Wednesday, 16th January 2013 at 2pm and will be held at Mole Valley District Council Offices in Dorking.
We will also be publishing agendas for these meetings and links for the webcasts on the Commissioner’s website www.surrey-pcc.gov.uk
Kevin Hurley said:
“I want to make my work as open and accessible to Surrey residents as I can.
“Webcasting allows me to share my regular management meetings with the Chief Constable with the public so they can feel assured that I am carrying out the duties they have elected me to do – making sure that Surrey Police focuses on their priorities, provides a top quality service and spends their money wisely.”
