Kevin Hurley invites Epsom & Ewell residents to Crime Summit

Residents in Epsom and Ewell are invited to the Borough’s Crime Summit, which takes place on Saturday 2nd November from 16:00-18:00 at Bourne Hall, Ewell.

The Crime Summit will see senior figures from Surrey Police, Surrey County Council, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council join the Police and Crime Commissioner to talk about their work and hear from local people about the issues that matter to them in their communities.

The event is an opportunity for Epsom & Ewell residents to hear about community safety work in the area; raise the issues that are affecting their lives and discuss with the public agencies working in the area how we can work together to solve those problems.

The Summit will be two hours in length and refreshments will be provided from 4pm.

Following his election as Police and Crime Commissioner in November 2012, Kevin Hurley pledged to hold Crime Summits in every Borough and District in Surrey.

Kevin Hurley said:

“I am looking forward to meeting Epsom & Ewell residents at the Borough’s first Crime Summit. This is an opportunity to come and see the senior leaders of the agencies with a responsibility for keeping your community a safe, pleasant place to live and tell us your views.

“For us, it is an opportunity to find out what matters to you. Our work cannot succeed without the public’s input and involvement. If you have something to say or an issue you think we ought to know about, come along. We are here to listen and take action.”
