The Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey David Munro has urged communities to remain vigilant and continue to stand together following last night’s terror attack in Manchester.
He said: “My deepest sympathies are with the victims, their loved ones and all those affected by last night’s awful events in Manchester.
“This was a truly appalling attack which targeted innocent young people and families who were enjoying a night out at a pop concert.
“Such acts seek to divide our communities and create disharmony. We must continue to stand together to stop that from happening.
“The police and security services are working hard to tackle the threat of terrorism but I would urge everyone in the county to remain vigilant. If you have any suspicions or see anything that causes you concern – please don’t hesitate to report it to the authorities.”
