Service: Mental Health ISVA

Grant: £40,000

Summary: This funding will support the provision of a full-time Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) during 2021/22, which specialises in supporting survivors, age 13 and above, of rape and sexual abuse who also suffer from mental illness. The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner recognises the importance of this service and has committed to provide funding to support delivery during 2021/22. This funding has been provided on the understanding that RASASC will find an alternative source of funding to sustain the post on a longer-term basis.

Service: Therapy Groups

Grant: £22,755

Summary: This funding will provide one new 20-week programme of therapy groups, targeted specifically for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The intention of the group is to build resilience. The group will run for 20 sessions and will be supported by trained facilitators.

 

Budget: MoJ Critical Support Fund / Victim Fund 2021/22.
