El Comissari de Policia i Crim de Surrey és responsable d'encarregar serveis que donen suport a les víctimes de delictes, milloren la seguretat de la comunitat, aborden l'explotació infantil i eviten la reincidència. Operem diferents fluxos de finançament i convidem regularment les organitzacions a sol·licitar subvencions per donar suport als objectius anteriors.

Per a l'exercici 2021/22, l'Oficina del Comissari de Policia i Crim va utilitzar una part del finançament local per donar suport a la prestació de serveis locals. En total, es va disposar de fons addicionals de 650,000 £ per a aquest propòsit, i aquest document estableix les assignacions d'aquest pressupost.

2.1 Servei: Transition Fund

Proveïdor: El teu Santuari

Subvenció: £10,000

Resum: When families arrive at a domestic abuse refuge they have few or no possessions, having left their homes when the opportunity to escape arises. This funding enables the refuge to provide essential items for the families when they arrive. These items can be taken with the families when they resettle, providing a good start for what is needed in their new homes.

Resum: This DA Specialist works alongside police teams to provide an enhanced level of support to survivors of domestic abuse, whilst supporting the professional development of officers and staff to ensure that the needs of victims are met.

2.4 Servei: Surrey Domestic Abuse Outreach Advocate Post Expansion

Proveïdor: East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (ESDAS)

Subvenció: £84,000

Resum: To expand the role detailed in section 2.3 into the remaining two police divisions. These two DA Specialists will work alongside police teams to provide an enhanced level of support to survivors of domestic abuse, whilst supporting the professional development of officers and staff to ensure that the needs of victims are met.

2.5 Servei: Expansion of IRIS

Proveïdor: South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (Citizens Advice Waverley)

Subvenció: £50,000

Resum: To introduce an IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) programme in Guildford and Waverley. IRIS is a specialist Domestic Abuse training, support and referral programme for General Practices, developed to promote and improve the healthcare response to Domestic Abuse. This is matched funding, with the remaining 50% of funding having been acquired by the provider from the Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Group Better Care Fund.

2.6 Servei: Cuckooing Service

Proveïdor: Catalitzador

Subvenció: £54,000

Resum: To explore how specialist assertive outreach workers can work alongside Surrey Police to support victims of cuckooing. The aim is to support the Police reduce their time spent with victims, divert people away from the criminal justice system, and support victims access a broad range of services to meet their needs.

2.7 Servei: Child Exploitation Service

Proveïdor: Catch22

Subvenció: £90,000

Resum: The new service will offer a combination of creative workshops and tailored one-to-one support from a named advisor to help individuals to address the root causes of their vulnerability. Focussing on early intervention that recognises the family, health and social factors that can lead to exploitation, the three-year project will increase the number of young people supported away from exploitation by 2025.

2.8 Servei: Surrey Through the Gate Housing Scheme

Proveïdor: The Forward Trust

Subvenció: £30,000

Resum: The Housing and Resettlement Service provides support to vulnerable individuals, with a history of drug, alcohol or other mental health issues, who are newly released from prison and who have nowhere to live. The Forward Trust provide a stable and permanent home for these individuals, together with additional wrap around care. This may include support to maintain tenancies, sustain recovery from addiction, access benefit claims and food banks, improve life skills, renew relationships with families, and engage with mental health and employment training.

2.9 Servei: Supported Housing for Young People

Proveïdor: La Fundació Amber

Subvenció: £37,500

Resum: Amber provides wrap around support and accommodation for young people in Surrey aged 17 to 30 years who are experiencing multiple disadvantage. The OPCC funds 3 of the 30 beds at their facility in Surrey.

2.10 Service: Fanal de Surrey

Proveïdor: Fanal del Regne Unit

Subvenció: £28,227

Resum: Streetlight UK provides specialist support for women involved in prostitution and all forms of sexual violence and exploitation, including those trafficked into the sex trade, providing tangible and material pathways for women to exit prostitution.

2.11 Service: Catalyst High Impact (CHI) Service

Proveïdor: Catalitzador

Subvenció: £50,000

Resum: The CHI service has evolved and provides a best practice model of assertive outreach to engage alcohol dependant clients. The service supports these clients to sustain medium to long term change and targets a concentrated cohort of complex individuals’ who remain hard to engage with traditional treatment services and consequently become high intensity users impacting both health and criminal justice services.
